Weather Situation

A ridge of high pressure over southern Victoria will persist during today as a high pressure centre forms over the Tasman Sea. The high will consolidate over the Tasman Sea on Friday and remain stationary on Saturday as a low pressure trough moves into the Bight. The trough will enter southwest Victoria Sunday afternoon and will cross the remainder of the State on Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday

Patchy morning fog. Mostly sunny afternoon. Winds northwest to southwesterly averaging 15 to 25 km/h tending southeast to southwesterly up to 30 km/h during the afternoon. Daytime maximum temperatures around 30.

Friday 24 February

Patchy morning fog. Sunny afternoon. Winds northeast to northerly averaging 15 to 25 km/h and afternoon coastal seabreezes of similar strength. Overnight temperatures falling to between 11 and 15 with daytime temperatures reaching the low to mid 30s.

Saturday 25 February

Mostly sunny. Winds northerly averaging 15 to 30 km/h. Overnight temperatures falling to between 17 and 20 with daytime temperatures reaching the low to mid 30s.

Sunday 26 February

Mostly sunny day. Isolated showers in the west during the evening. Winds northerly averaging 15 to 30 km/h. Overnight temperatures falling to between 19 and 22 with daytime temperatures reaching 29 to 34.
