The house was situated on a wedge shaped lot and the paved area where the verandah would go was wider on one end than the other. An additional problem involved the fact that the existing stormwater line was under the sidewalk so using a downpipe for water off the verandah roof was not possible.

To save money the owners wanted to do their own painting. It is always easier to paint before the roofing goes on so I put up the framing, let them do the painting and then came back and installed the roof.
